Worth it...

Do you know what makes it ALL worth it? When your little one looks into your eyes and tells you she loves you. That just makes all the hard times, and the temper tantrums, and the messes, and just everything about being a mom - Worth it...

Not Working Mom

I put TLT to bed one night, and I go about my other evening activities. MUCH later, as I am heading to bed, I hear this little voice coming from TLT's bedroom asking me what I'm doing. I ask why she isn't asleep yet as she has been in bed for a long time already! Her response:

My eyes don't want to work Mommy!

SynAck and I just cracked up. It was just WAY too cute...

Stuff

Less than 2 weeks till SynAck starts his new job, and I'm hoping to have an offer by the end of the week... Things have been a bit hectic...

And then TLT has been at her best worst behaviour! Driving me nuts, but then again, I may just have a bit of a short fuse thanks to everything going on. Although it is sometimes really tough to get angry with a little girl who suddenly tries to give you open mouth kisses! *shock, horror* Or bite your butt while your warming up in front of the heater after your bath and before you get dressed... No-one said life wouldn't be interesting with an *almost* four year-old around!

Oh, and lets not forget her abject HORROR at the words SHUT UP! *big grin* She LOVES drawing in this HUGE breathe, accompanied by this high-pitched sound before telling you in a very stern voice that "You are NOT allowed to say that!"

Attacked in the kitchen!

Standing in the kitchen, preparing supper... SynAck still has his big jacket on as he is still a tad cold. Suddenly I hear a growling noise and SynAck feels these strange tugs on the back of his jacket. We take a look and there is TLT, gripping a piece of the jacket between her teeth, shaking her head from side to side, growling like a dog...

When asked what she is doing, she just grins back...

? Um... Ok... *confused*

We haven't disappeared...

Just in case you are wondering... It may have been a while since we last posted, but that does NOT mean that we have disappeared, or even that the fun has stopped... ;-) It just means that life has been a tad busy and we will hopefully update more regularly from here on out...

LONG Memory

I'm in the kitchen busy with my part of supper (SynAck is braaing (BBQing) the meat) and TLT is finishing off her orange over the basin in the bathroom (incase she spills ;-) ). She obviously finishes her orange and is busy coming out of the bathroom when I hear this "klink, klank, ding" as she obviously trips over the cats food and water bowls.

Now, our cat disappeared easily two months ago, but procrastinator me has not removed the empty bowls from the bathroom yet. (I really should make a plan to remember to do that!)

So TLT trips over the bowls and as she regains her balance she says - STUPID CAT!

How to annoy your mother - Plan 1

Driving home one evening after work, we had just picked TLT up from Peanut, and we had had a rather LONG, boring, horrid day at work (or so I recall it anyway). TLT pipes up from the back seat:

TLT - Mom?
Jade - Yes?
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes?
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes?
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes? (Starting to get a little annoyed, but trying REALLY hard not to show it)
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes? (No longer trying too hard to show the annoyance)
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes? (Wondering whether she is EVER GOING TO GET TO THE FREAKING POINT?)
TLT - Can I tell you something?
Jade - Yes...
TLT - Um............Mom?
Jade - Yes? (HIGHLY GRATED VOICE WITH FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!)
TLT - Nevermind...

*GRRRRRRRR!!!!!*

So, we never got hear what she wanted to tell us... :-(
